Download setup.sh

Then run bash setup.sh. It stops at the first error and is safe to run again. Servers and tests aren't started; it lists them at the end. Read it first.

Clone the repository

Install dependencies:

npm install
cd client && npm install
cd ../server && npm install
cd ..

Run with the batch controller (nextask.bat):

Double-click nextask.bat to launch the interactive controller menu.

Or run from command prompt / terminal:

nextask.bat start     :: Starts backend & frontend silently in background
nextask.bat stop      :: Stops all running services cleanly
nextask.bat status    :: Checks live status of ports 3001 & 5173
nextask.bat restart   :: Restarts both services
nextask.bat open      :: Opens http://localhost:5173 in default browser

Browser access:
- Frontend UI: http://localhost:5173
- Backend API: http://localhost:3001
