How to install on macOS
Memos is an open-source, self-hosted note-taking app that brings your everyday thoughts together in a personal timeline. Your data stays yours, and you choose what to keep private or share.
Saved setup from just now
The maintainers included scripts/install.sh. Run it from the cloned folder after reading it.
bash scripts/install.sh
Will it work on my device?
curl -LO "https://github.com/usememos/memos/releases/download/26.11.0/memos_26.11.0_darwin_arm64.tar.gz" tar -xzf "memos_26.11.0_darwin_arm64.tar.gz"

A self-hosted app: Docker runs it on your computer and you open it in the browser. Needs Docker Desktop (or Docker Engine on Linux). Run docker compose commands inside the cloned repo folder.
docker run -d --name memos -p 5230:5230 -v ~/.memos:/var/opt/memos neosmemo/memos:stable
